Solar Eclipse

Last night the solar eclipse was visible in western half of the United States and, luckily, if you stood on a hill in Kansas City you could see the Ring of Fire just before the sun set.

Since I was 5 or 6 I have dreamed of seeing a solar eclipse (I have always been a big nerd) and even though clouds covered the sun at the point of full eclipse, I can honestly say that there are few things I have seen in life that were more magical than watching the moon block out the sun. Now I will wait patiently and hope that I am fortunate enough to be in the right place for the next one.
