About 2 months ago I saw the last day of an exhibit at the Musée d’Art Moderne de la ville de Paris on the US cartoonist Robert Crumb. His drawing were often fantastic and entertaining satire of culture and I was glad to be introduced to his work.
As I am sure I’ve said before, I love art museums and Paris has plenty great ones. At least once a week Mélanie and I go to find a new one or just discover more of one we have already visited. Here are a few pictures from some of my favorite museums.

Mélanie is wearing her latest and proudest thrift shop find in the Jardins du Luxembourg, a lovely park in Paris.
…and one extra one, the sun in her eyes at the metro stop Bastille.
Nights at the Sacré Coeur are a welcome place for anyone who wants to drink in the light of a church. More than anything it offers a wonderful place to sit and look out over the city, however the trash that piles up is ungodly.
Exploring the woods near Mélanie’s hometown of Chaumont-en-Vexin.
A couple weeks ago while in the countryside at Mélanie’s parents we went to the stable where Mélanie used to ride. We met Mélanie’s friend Audrey for beer and sausage. Luckily it was magic hour and I had my camera. I swear the light is more beautiful in France and magic hour lasts longer. I pray for beautiful light and often my prayers are answered.
2 weeks back I attended a horse competition with Mélanie near her hometown. Mélanie used to ride and compete on horse. She took me to see part of her old world and I made some pictures as well. I only had a 35mm lens, however I’m glad I did. It forced me to shoot differently and I had some fun.
Everyday I leave the apartment with my camera and metro card and hope to find something interesting, luckily that is not too difficult.
